ArtMob members, Coral Natta and Bette Arne, recently joined volunteers in a clay mask making artist-in-residence program at Milwaukie Elementary School. Under the guidance of Michelle Gallagher of the Oregon Potters Association (OPA), every student in the school had a fun hands-on experience in creating their own mask. The Milwaukie Elementary Parent Teacher Organization provided the funding for the project as raised through a school auction and jog-a-thon. The Oregon Potters Association also provided the funds to the artist who oversaw the project. Masks will be on display outside the school office, continuing a tradition that began several years ago at Milwaukie Elementary. For information about the OPA visit: http://www.oregonpotters.org/.
